“Junkies” is Zambia’s newest problem.
Gangs of delinquent male youths that defile the rule of law and order, and decency have mushroomed right below our nation’s nose. It's like we just blinked and they were there.
These youths are now patrolling city streets, bus stops, communities, and unguarded places far more than the police and all other security personnel put together.
Their reckless life of smoking/drugs, vulgar language, loitering, terrorism, and many other vices has become a huge threat to women and children. At times, even men have been their victims. This is extremely worrisome to the nation, to say the least; if this tarries the future of the Zambian male youth is Junkie.
If we are to avoid a junkyard for a nation, we must start raising godly sons today. Fathers and mothers must passionately give godly instruction and teaching to their sons. The truth of God’s word must continually be sounded to their hearing.
If we don’t, be warned, we will, by no means, be any better than the cities of Babylon, Nineveh, and Sodom and Gomorrah put together.
Therefore, Be encouraged, in the spirit of Proverbs 1:8, to start instructing your sons in godliness today. Friends, our boys need serious attention. Though the future looks female, that future equally needs godly sons to grace it with godly homes, leadership, authority, and above all a genuine fear of God.
