Confession of Faith

1689 Baptist Confession of Faith

The 1689 Confession of Faith is a Reformed confession of faith, meaning that it is based on the principles of the Protestant Reformation and affirms the biblical doctrine of salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ. The confession consists of 33 chapters that cover a wide range of theological topics, including the doctrine of God, the Trinity, the person and work of Jesus Christ, salvation, the church, and the end times. It is widely used by Baptist churches around the world as a summary of their faith and a guide for their teaching and practice.

Prayer

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. - 1st Thessalonians 5:16-18

PRAYER

Habitual prayer can be an important part of a person's spiritual life, as it helps to focus the mind and heart on God and to cultivate an attitude of dependence on Him. It can also provide a sense of peace, comfort, and guidance in times of need. As a congregation we find it helpful to set aside a specific time and place for prayer, while it is also permissible for you to pray throughout the day as the need or opportunity arises.

Pray With Someone

  • After the Sunday worship service, and you'd like to be prayed for by the elders or any leaders. Kindly remain in the pews or see an usher.

Share Prayer Requests

  • Write a prayer request on the tear-off panel of your weekend worship leaflet and place it in the offering basket. Each week the Church prays for these requests.

  • Call or email the Church office.
